On F17, and on the last solaris I used (5 years ago), /bin/sh was a link and has been one for many years in Unix land. For example on my system right now: ls -al /bin/sh lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 4 Mar 18 11:28 /bin/sh -> bash -- devel mailing list devel@lists.fedoraproject.org https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/devel
