I use Fedora for my desktops. I encounter three "death by a thousand papercuts" daily. Judging by the bugzilla traffic I'm nearly the only one with these problems.
1. I cannot save my keyboard layout in Gnome. I have to reset it every time I login by adding and removing a keyboard layout. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=771769 2. If I switch users, often the sound is muted. I have to go to sound properties and change the audio hardware to something else then back again. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=726468 3. User switching doesn't really work well.
