Hi everyone,

My name is Kenny, and I'm looking to get involved with Fedora packaging and
seeking a sponsor to help me learn the ropes.

A bit about my background: I spent years in Alaska working hands-on as a oil
pipeline worker & diesel engineer before pivoting into software, and I am
currently studying AI Software Engineering at University. My primary focus is
on bare-metal systems architecture, hardware optimization, and memory-safe
systems programming. I spend a lot of time working on custom kernel builds,
Wayland compositors, and I'm currently developing a custom bare-metal init
system written in Rust.

While I have traditionally come from a pacman-centric packaging background, I
want to start contributing directly to Fedora. I noticed that [ccze / sslh]
recently became orphaned. Because of my focus on system-level performance and
Rust, my goal is to adopt this package to maintain it for the Fedora community,
with the long-term roadmap of rewriting it in Rust to eliminate memory-safety
vulnerabilities while maintaining drop-in compatibility.

I am looking for a sponsor who can guide me through Fedora's specific packaging
guidelines, help review my initial SPEC files, and help me transition into the
packager group so I can officially adopt the package.

I'm ready to put in the work and learn the Fedora way. Any guidance on the best
next steps to get a spec file reviewed would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Kenny Glowner
