Workstation working group discussed this old issue this week:

https://pagure.io/fedora-workstation/issue/278#comment-992181

The summary is two fold:
* Due to increasing prevalence of Bitlocker by default, and lack of support for
modifying Bitlocker volumes, the installer can't make free space on systems
with Windows pre-installed

* Due to Secure Boot, we need to instruct the firmware to directly load the
Windows bootloader (chainloading has been removed from GRUB boot menu for a
while now). This can be done via the firmware boot-manager or using efibootmgr
--bootnext option.

So these two things probably could be largely mitigated with documentation. So
this email serves a call to action if anyone is interested in producing such
documentation and the necessary testing.

But an alternative is new tools or enhancing existing tools, to make this
experience smoother than it is now.

Any thoughts?
