I wonder why I see rubygem-abrt listed here, but the relevant ticket, such as [1] is not updated.

Updated how?

The initial comment sets some expectations. I would expect that the ticket will be updated with information that "now is the time when the process kicked in and here is reminder to really do something prior this will get retired in x weeks".

My email is orthogonal to bugzilla.

See https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/#_package_removal_for_long_standing_ftbfs_and_fti_bugs

Anybody can follow the bugzilla process to get your package orphaned, as your bugzilla is still in NEW. Those are points 1-5 of the policy. I am not doing that. Feel free to volunteer.

👍

What my email was about are points 7 and 8 of the policy.

This might be some Google deduplication, but I can't say I would receive remainder as per: "and weekly reminders are sent to affected maintainers", while if the BZ was update instead, I would noticed.

Vít

Those are not dependent on the previous points.
