Hi,

When a system is _upgraded_ to F42, we try to "merge", by making
/usr/sbin a symlink to /usr/bin. This is blocked when a package lists
files under /usr/sbin. It'd be great to rebuild/update those packages,
so that the upgraded systems reach the intended state and look the
same as new installations. (For new installations, /usr/sbin is always
a symlink.)

On f42, repoquery gives the following list of packages:

In the most common case, the package has ".fc41" in the version and
simply FTBFS in the mass rebuild. In some other cases, the package has
".fc42", but was only built successfully before mass rebuilt.

One known case is packages using update-alternatives. For a while
such packages needed to _not_ do the merge. alternatives have
been fixed, so they should be adjusted for the merge.

There are too many packages for me to investigate by myself. So if
you're a maintainer of one of those packages, please try to rebuild
them. If the situation is more complicated and a rebuild is not
enough, or if the build fails for reasons related to the merge,
let me know, I'll try to help.

Zbyszek
