Hello FESCo, Peter, Packagers and all,
First of all, I'm not a packager, not even a developer, but as a former member of Marketing team as a former Council member, I think this is the time when damage control communication is needed. Peter: > I personally think FESCo should be referring the problem to the council > and stepping back from the entire process. > > IMO, you should go upfront and open a ticket for this by yourself, in my country there is a saying: "El que pega primero, pega dos veces", so if you already have doubts of the FESCo process, I recommend you to open the ticket. FESCo: Discussing things "privately", "internally" and all the words that have been used during the conversation, is not in the Spirit of Fedora. I recommend to go upfront and publishing absolutely everything unless there are legal issues that I highly doubt. Packagers: It's the moment that you act as a group and not individuals, I know and trust that you can find a way to speak as a solid unit and request this to be discussed with the Council in the openness. I don't want to sound like a troublemaker or firestarter, but IMO this should not be tolerated.
