I've updated https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/nouveau/-/issues/385 to indicate appropriate uses of video= on kernel cmdline can enable normal use of vttys. All displays are still put into sleep mode or into unsupported mode on X startup, but Ctrl-Alt-Fn succeeds to switch to available vttys. -- Evolution as taught in public schools is, like religion, based on faith, not based on science.
