Hello everyone.

Bup has been orphaned since 2019 after python2 was purged from the repositories.

It has since been fully ported to python3 making it eligible to join fedora
again. There have been
multiple copr repositories over the years so there is plenty of spec files
going around and the work
is pretty much mostly done already.

Personally, after yet another copr repo shows signs of inactivity blocking my
upgrade to f41, I have decided
to create my own https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/fvalasiad/plasma-kup/,
and having some experience
packaging stuff in other distributions(Void Linux), I could see myself
maintaining or helping maintain this package. First time
attempting to package something for fedora and needless to say, I am not in the
Packager group so someone would need to
sponsor this work.

Seemingly working spec and srpm files:

Finally, the spec file is essentially forked/inspired by other copr
repositories and even void's template for bup, with my
sauces added on top so that it passes fedora's packaging guidelines and the
project's tests. Uncertain if I should give
credit to anyone since the copr repositories seem to be almost exact copies of
one another, god knows who the original author
is, ah the beauty of FOSS.

That will be all, thanks!
