If you're a Fedora package maintainer, we've got an exciting update about
our release automation!

Packit now supports non-git upstreams in the pull_from_upstream job
<https://packit.dev/docs/configuration/downstream/pull_from_upstream>,
making it possible for more packages to use the feature for syncing
upstream releases to Fedora.

Additionally, even for packages with git-based upstreams, this change
allows you to skip the configuration of upstream_project_url when upstream
repository interaction isn’t required, allowing for easier onboarding.

For a detailed explanation of these changes and how they can simplify your
workflows, check out our latest blog post here:
https://packit.dev/posts/non-git-upstreams-support

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Best regards,

Packit team!
