To you and everyone else who has brought up the "First" objective: Please
keep in mind that "First" is only ONE of the four 'F's. I strongly object to
making "First" the one priority at the expense of the other three 'F's.

I believe there is also a deep misunderstanding in large parts of the
community about the meaning of "First": "First" means that Fedora should
offer the latest software. It does NOT mean that Fedora should remove older
applications and/or the compatibility libraries they require at the first
perceived occasion.

In fact, I also believe that dropping support for compatibility
libraries/interpreters/… and removing the applications that require them
goes against ALL THREE of the other 'F's:
* Freedom, because of "Freedom Zero", "The freedom to run the program as you
wish, for any purpose" [https://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-sw.html.en].
Removing needed compatibility libraries makes it a lot harder for the users
to exercise that basic freedom.
* Features, because every application you remove is a major feature loss for
the distribution. To me, "Features" implies that we should strive to ship as
much software in Fedora as possible, even if it is old, unmaintained, and
dependent on legacy (i.e., also unmaintained) libraries or interpreters.
* Friends, because removing the applications users need will definitely not
make you any friends.

As for Changes that are not about shipping any new software at all, but just
about doing things differently, I do not see how those even fall under
"First" to begin with.
