You can't (and really shouldn't) want to build with an older Rust version just because of a warning-turned-error. The default compiler flags in Fedora don't do this (it would be a lot of error noise for no good reason, it would be equivalent to having "-Werror" in the default CFLAGS), it looks like kata-containers *still* doesn't respect the default flags from Fedora and hard-codes its own ones. You should just drop -Dwarnings from the flags. (And ideally respond to my ancient bug report about kata-containers not honoring our default compiler flags).
