Firstly, let's not make personal attacks.

The reported example refers to an update submitted for a stable release, where 
every effort in order to not to break things must be made. Was that happened 
before the side-tag update was pushed? imo, saying "blogilo is dead upstream 
and you're the only one left using it" is not enough.
