Good point, not a hard dependency at all. I am trying to keep things simple as much as possible because I feel like the project website is already difficult to understand. But Anaconda is the only dependency, essentially the project is nothing else than a HTTP endpoint which can serve kickstart, grub configuration and the bootloader itself and Anaconda second stage plus the image (tarball). In fact, it could also do RPM-based installations at some point, but again I want to keep it simple for now. I only know lorax (livemedia-creator) and I actually tested it once, I haven’t tried the others.
