yes and Centos 7 means all Fedora since a long time ... 

I set HISTSIZE=400000 in /etc/profile directly , this because if
profile runs and set HISTSIZE to 1000 sometimes happens that
.bash_history is truncated .
I also do backups of my $HOME/.bash_history


(I started with 100000 I doubled 200000 , and my history now have more
than 200000 entries )
