I understand the burden and I fully support you dropping this. But I
agree with decathorpe that this needs to be a two-stage approach, with
deprecation in F37 and removal in F38 or beyond. Retiring the package
in the upcoming weeks will be incredibly disruptive, especially since
the Beta freeze begins in a month.
