I actually think it's a good idea. Scratch builds always sounded like a strange idea, mainly b/c it's forcing us to decide if the output of a build is going to be released *before* the build is triggered, when it's impossible to tell whether that output is going to be release-worthy at all. I can imagine a setup where the build system doesn't differentiate between builds. There are just builds. And the update system (or something else) is where the decision is taken to promote a build as an update or not, *after* the output of the build is known. When a build is released, it's marked in the build system as "official". > > -- > Sincerely, > Vitaly Zaitsev (vit...@easycoding.org) > _______________________________________________ > devel mailing list -- devel@lists.fedoraproject.org > To unsubscribe send an email to devel-le...@lists.fedoraproject.org > Fedora Code of Conduct: > https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ > List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines > List Archives: > https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@lists.fedoraproject.org > Do not reply to spam on the list, report it: > https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure _______________________________________________ devel mailing list -- devel@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe send an email to devel-le...@lists.fedoraproject.org Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@lists.fedoraproject.org Do not reply to spam on the list, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure
