This package has actually already been approved for Fedora in March of 2021: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1917510

The repository is at https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/airspyhf-1.6.8-1

It looks like Emiliano (the packager, on CC) never actually imported and built the approved package.

Emiliano: do you need/want assistance in getting this actually built and in the repositories?

Devel List: If no response from Emiliano, what's the process here for taking over a package in this case (and also renaming the repo to drop the version from it)?

"Buford": I built it in COPR for now and you are welcome to grab it from there and test it: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/fuller/test-builds/
Run the following command:
sudo dnf copr enable fuller/test-builds && sudo dnf install airspyhf
