I've already proposed a PR[1] to resolve conflicts between ffmpeg-libs
and the various libav*-free packages:

It's not trivial to resolve the conflict between ffmpeg and ffmpeg-free,
because:
1. Fedora package must provide /usr/bin/ffmpeg.
2. If the ffmpeg binary picks up libav* libraries built with even
slightly different ./configure options, it'll complain verbosely[2].
Some developers are in favour of removing the mismatch warning, while
others have some reservations.

One option would be to use alternatives, but I'm not sure if it's worth
the effort.
