That's completely fair. One (OpenJDK) has been open source in various
forms for 15 years. The other has been (re-designed and made) open
source for around 5 years now. 10 years is an eternity, and has both
positive and negative implications for the late-comer.

So there are definitely going to be huge differences, in terms of
ownership models, community contributions, availability, usage, how the
ecosystem works and user experience.

Could you share more?

Are your concerns around the .NET SDK/Runtime packages themselves or
packaging external applications that need to be built using the
SDK/Runtime?

What would make you revise your opinion?
