Another use-case: if you want to run desktop-y tests in %check when building an RPM, you need something like: 'dbus-run-session xvfb-run meson test' (ideally tests should depend on those themselves, but it's not typical). Maybe xvfb-run can be replaced with weston somehow? But unless you expect systemd to be running in your buildroot, dbus-run-session seems hard to avoid.
