It also needs --reset-mbr to include BIOS and UEFI support, with the same image. Gotcha 1: The overlay is device-mapper based. The --help describes what happens when it gets full. Short version, there's a kaboom. The plain squashfs + overlayfs method isn't available yet, that feature is still pending; nor a Btrfs option.
