GVim issues

Does anybody experience issues with GVim? It happens quite often, that 
it stops updating the UI. It seems it does something in background (e.g. 
the mouse cursor is changing and window title updating), but the UI is 
completely stuck. I am not really sure how to analyze this issue and 
where to report it. Is it GVim issue? Or (X)Wayland issue? Clutter? GTK?
