The above mentioned ticket is not a bug report in the first place. You just expressed your personal opinion about a package maintained by someone else in Fedora. While I respect your opinion about the package being redundant, it is not a sufficient reason for the maintainer to quickly take an action. There might be other people using the package and Bugzilla is not the right place to discuss whether a package should be removed or not. If there are technical reasons behind your request, you should state them explicitly.
