I did not want to imply that PulseAudio is useless. I doubt that you would have implemented it, if you did not have any use for it. Probably a lot of people who bought their soundcard without considering to buy one capable of hardware mixing will also benefit from it. But usually these people work not that actively in a FOSS community. Regards Till
