Hi there, is there any documentation on ConsoleKit available? ATM the package only includes a README which refers to http://www.freedesktop.org/software/ConsoleKit/doc/ConsoleKit.html which is mainly an API documentation. What I need is a user documentation about the binaries installed by ConsoleKit. None of the programs supports --help or has a manpage. What are they doing and how is ck-launch-session different from ck-xinit-session?
The background of this question is that there are problems accessing removable media in LXDE and Xfce when logging in in runlevel 3 and then using startx. I know I can fix these problems by executing startlxde or startxfce4 through ck-launch-session, but honestly I have no idea what I'm doing. What is the recommended way to open and close a ConsoleKit session when logging in in runlevel 3? Should this be done in the scripts that strart the desktop environment?
