I think it may depend on the type of package, for some SIGs at least I think auto-retiring a needed working package is also rather frustrating since it generates extra work for the SIG to recover that package. Talking of which I just filed two review requests for ghc-fgl (which I had untired last year) and ghc-setlocale: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1678677 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1678684 which will unbreak xmonad and darcs. :-) Jens
