Unfortunately I have been unable to reproduce this in any local mock
builds. So I'm left wondering if this is some kind of peculiarity with
the COPR builders or if there is a real problem with openmpi. Any
suggestions for how to further debug this would be greatly appreciated.
(PID 0 seems very odd)

With the help of the very useful libSegFault I was able to generate a
backtrace in COPR with:
export LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib64/libSegFault.so
export SEGFAULT_SIGNALS=ill
which pointed to the libpsm2 library. I've filed
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1659852
Any Koji/COPR debug tips pages out there that could benefit from
mentioning libSegFault/catchsegv?
