That worked pretty well once I figured out gdb can create a core dump :) As expected everything looks good except for the nvidia drivers which of course I don't have debuginfo for, but the segmentation fault can be reproduced on my wife's laptop (i5 w/ intel graphics). I pretty much did the same thing with valgrind but the output of your script is much more concise and easier to read. Thanks, Richard
