You're not forced to use this convention at all.  Whatever you do on
your clones is your business.  fedpkg will offer a convenience target to
do branch checkouts for you, but you don't have to use it.  Nothing will
require a naming convention on your local branch.  You can call it
froblegook if you want, and the tools will figure it out.
