Yes, of course (MaxUse=, KeepFree= in coredump.conf, similarly to how
journals are cleaned up, and there's also time based cleanup specified
in /usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/systemd.conf). I just wanted to underline the
fact that old coredumps can be removed by hand if wanted.
