I've spent quite a bit of time fixing up preupgrade this cycle, and all our QA tests so far have concentrated on preupgrade-gtk, the graphical component. I've not even tested preupgrade-cli (the command line version) this cycle, and it seems to have bitrotten far more than the gtk counterpart.
