This process formalizes how breaking changes are classified in the edk2 repository, helping align expectations for contributors and consumers. It is recommended to read and follow the summarized process ( https://www.tianocore.org/tianocore-wiki.github.io/development/contribution-guides/breaking_change_process.html ) and refer to the RFC if additional information is required. Checklists ( https://www.tianocore.org/tianocore-wiki.github.io/development/contribution-guides/breaking_change_process.html#step-3-follow-the-steps-for-your-case ) are provided for contributors, reviewers, and maintainers to simplify adoption of the process. The files necessary to support the process have been added to edk2 repository.
