Github user ravwojdyla commented on the issue: https://github.com/apache/zeppelin/pull/1471 @felixcheung my reasoning for the change of default interpreter, is that using `BeamInterpreter` in current form lacks benefits of IDE and gives no advantages of Zeppelin itself (there are no display helpers, notebook env etc), it's pure java interpreter - it would make more sense to use Beam Java SDK inside scala interpreter - just for the sake of more friendly dev/notebook experience. That said, it is not super important from my perspective which one is the default (?), so I have reverted that change.
