Sebb commented on WHIMSY-345:
-----------------------------

I'm not sure how podling renames have been handled in the past.

Probably DLab and DataLab should both link to the same set of minutes.

However, the contents of the minutes will not be modified: we cannot change the
historical record.

> [DataLab]: Name replacement issues for Incubation status reports on Whimsy
> --------------------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: WHIMSY-345
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WHIMSY-345
> Project: Whimsy
> Issue Type: Bug
> Reporter: Vira Vitanska
> Priority: Major
>
> This ticket follows
> https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PODLINGNAMESEARCH-145 and
> https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PODLINGNAMESEARCH-184.
> So now our podling is in process of replacing old name by new one from DLab
> to DataLab. It causes some issues.
> ----
>  There is a page [https://incubator.apache.org/projects/datalab.html]
> There is a "DataLab Board Reports" in section "Incubation status reports"
> which leads to [https://whimsy.apache.org/board/minutes/DataLab.html,] but
> appears 404 error.
> And there is an available page with old name
> [https://whimsy.apache.org/board/minutes/DLab.html]
> +I was wondering if you could:+
> 1. transport the content from
> [https://whimsy.apache.org/board/minutes/DLab.html] to
> [https://whimsy.apache.org/board/minutes/DataLab.html]
> 2. do page [https://whimsy.apache.org/board/minutes/DataLab.html] successful
> for opening
> 3. replace DLAB to DataLab in content of new page
> [https://whimsy.apache.org/board/minutes/DataLab.html]
> 4. do page [https://whimsy.apache.org/board/minutes/DLab.html] not available
> anymore.
> I guess that these points are right if am wrong in something, please correct
> me.
> Thanks.
