+1 to leaving the code as-is. Whimsy reflects data from other, canonical
sources. It shouldn't add new errors, but users should understand that Whimsy
merely reflects from elsewhere.
Propose closing this. If someone has a specific way to add an enhancement
whereby a consistency check is done in the Whimsy code that collects the data,
and issues some alert - while still propagating the data - that'd be a great
separate issue. Not sure how/where to alert that (i.e. new field in JSON or
some other error log).
