Due to the overwhelming interest in https://github.com/apache/trafficserver/pull/4848 (C++ API: Add template for convenient continuations that call a member function for a class instance.), I have created a depedant PR ( https://github.com/apache/trafficserver/pull/5406 ) that makes use of it to put a critical section into a continuation.
