I merge from my dev branch to master and then push from there. It's how I
used to do when we did git->svn, and it was how I was taught how to do it
(at least the books / docs recommended it that way). I guess I don't quite
understand the risks or reasons for not doing this, but then again, I also
don't know "pure" git all that well. :)
