I believe the changes at least implies IPv6 <-> IPv6 functionality,  but 
hopefully also IPv4 <-> IPv6. I honestly don't know if there are reasonable use 
cases for the latter though, buy maybe once a majority of servers are IPv6 it 
could be useful?
