I dare claim 2.1.9 is without a doubt much more stable than the 2.0 release. The reason we call it -unstable is that the *API* has not been stabilised. With 3.0.x we're freezing the API on that branch. "Unstable" development continues in trunk. In fact, we have already branched off 3.0.x in preparation for the release, so we'll not disturb continuous development.
