We have been using VisualWGet (Win32 only) to drive traffic through ATS in forward proxy mode. I suppose it could be used to test reverse proxy as well. It has proxy support so it can drive explicit and transparent forward proxy.
There is also the "-R 1" flag which runs some regression tests. ./traffic_server -R 1 Use ./traffic_server --help to get a list of options.
