I have made a branch:
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/trafficserver/traffic/branches/dev as a staging ground for features which will not be part of 2.0 but are otherwise ready for checkin and which other folks might be interested in before we officially fork. Currently that includes the cache partition work as well as an encapsulation of the networking layer to ease porting, an option to use libev and a OSX port. I will be merging in the changes from trunk periodically but if anyone else wants to do so proactively, go for it. If you have a change and it is otherwise ready to go (jira posted, etc.) but that is not for 2.0 and you would like to put it somewhere so that others can try it out or to prevent it from becoming "stale", consider checking it into branches/dev.
