I think it's fine to raise it - and just make it a configuration item that's
well documented for the user. Tika should be able to handle documents that can
be 100s of MB in size (powerpoint regularly does that now). It might be a good
safeguard to check the default memory allocated for the process and output a
warning if it's not at least 2-3x the size of the max allowed bytes?

Also it is good that you're exporing streaming too, as it gives you free
backpressure too. I like to serially send off my tika parsing in a single
stream and open the total number of streams I want to have as concurrency. But
I'd yield to Tim and Nick for these decisions.
