You can try this.
Look at execsh in st.c, find line using: grep -n ^execsh st.c

Change:

DEFAULT(args, ((char *[]) {prog, arg, NULL}));

to:

if(scroll)
        DEFAULT(args, ((char *[]) {prog, "-m 1000", arg, NULL}));
else
        DEFAULT(args, ((char *[]) {prog, arg, NULL}));

So if you use scroll we add and additional argument in execvp.
