I'm not the maintainer, I just sent a few patches a while back. Now that I think of it, there is still a pending patch: https://lists.suckless.org/hackers/1908/16959.html It's been a long time since I've looked at the details of DHCP. Over the past few years I have run into a few situations where sdhcp didn't work, but have not found the time to investigate them. So I can confirm that sdhcp still has some issues, just not sure if they are the same issues as Sean is reporting here.
