To be fair, that should be expected before posting on any ML, but the fact there's no easy way to search lists.suckless.org makes it an even bigger issue. And while for this case, a search for 'xft site:lists.suckless.org' (replace 'xft' with 'emoji' or 'font' and get similar results), search engines aren't always quick to index newer posts, so this wouldn't work in all cases.
