Following his argument one could argue that toggling tags (Ctrl+Shift-Mod1-[1-9]) on a particular window is a more frequent option than just giving a window a completely new tag. Or one could argue that toggling more tags(Ctrl-Mod1-[1-9]) into the view is also a rather frequent option. However, probably the author uses the tagging concept only in this specific way (one tag per window, one tag in the view). With this usage pattern his argument might be valid. But dwm offers plenty other usage patterns. I look at multiple tags much more frequently, than retagging particular windows. Mostly windows are tagged according to the rules[] definition. The choice of dwm's default keybindings has been developed very carefully during the years. To me and most long time users they feel pretty logical after all. And I do not intend to change them, unless people do not switch to different keyboard layouts. Best regards, Anselm
