RTF is too baroque: look at it's most recent standard version http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=DD422B8D-FF06-4207-B476-6B5396A18A2B&displaylang=en To create a less sucking word processor, one need to start with a less sucking doc format. For legacy stuff I'd rather rip off the OO importer bits (afaik Google uses them in Google Docs as well). Kind regards, Anselm
