Indeed, with the UTF-8 cmdline and xpatch work, we may have enough momentum to release 1.16.x soon after, assuming all goes well. Personally, I would say that those two features alone could justify a new minor release. For now, I plan to proceed with what is currently on trunk and continue moving toward cutting the 1.15.x branch. I'm currently in the middle of the API review step. Thanks, Evgeny Kotkov
