This would still be useful in other contexts. I have big text files
for which the only changes are near the beginning, mainly because
of information stored in reverse-date order (e.g. changelogs).
These are not huge files ("only" several MBs), but still among the
biggest files of my repositories, and they can change quite often.
A textual diff command can handle them, so why not Subversion's
internal diff...
